Daabo is dedicated to minimizing our environmental impact and promoting sustainability across our operations. As a provider of device and electronics insurance, we recognize our responsibility to manage electronic waste (e-waste) in a safe, secure, and environmentally sound manner. This policy outlines our commitment to the responsible handling of all electronic devices that pass through our claims and replacement processes.

2. Scope of this Policy

This policy applies to all electronic devices collected by Daabo or our partners as part of an insurance claim, including but not limited to smartphones, laptops, tablets, and other insured gadgets. It also covers our internal corporate IT equipment at the end of its lifecycle.

3. Our Approach: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

We follow a clear hierarchy to maximize the value of electronic devices and minimize waste:

• Reduce & Repair: Our first priority is to facilitate the repair of damaged devices through our network of certified technicians. By extending the life of electronics, we reduce the need for new manufacturing and prevent premature disposal.
• Reuse & Refurbish: Devices that cannot be repaired for the original owner but are still functional are professionally refurbished. These devices may be used as replacement units or resold, giving them a second life.
• Recycle: For devices that are at the end of their functional life, we partner with certified e-waste recycling facilities. These partners are vetted to ensure they adhere to the highest standards of environmental safety and data security.

4. How You Can Help

As a Daabo customer, you play a vital role. When you file a claim for a damaged device, please follow the instructions provided for returning the device to us or our designated partner. This ensures it enters our responsible management stream and does not end up in a landfill.
